THE GIRL IN THE
WINDOW
Rambling Heart tell the story of a little girl who gets lost in a clothes shop - and enters the weird and wonderful world of consumerism. From dancing dresses, to men made of receipts, to a giant Bag for Life - this is shopping from a whole new perspective. This dreamlike piece of visual storytelling, accompanied by accordion player, Tom Lenthall, was performed in the window of 99 New Street, Birmingham, as part of The Three Week Window Festival 2012.
"Strangly captivating...an odd mix of clever and weird!"

THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW was developed as part of Rambling Heart's broader exploration of tales of trade and exchange, customer service and consumer culture. We continue to develop ideas and collect stories about Britain's buying & selling experiences with a view to creating an extended future show.
