When Charlotte falls asleep in her squeaky boarding school bed, it’s 1968. But come morning, she finds that she’s woken up in the year 1918 - and everyone thinks that she is a girl called Clare.

Day after day, Charlotte moves between her world and Clare's: becoming entangled in the chaos of wartime Britain and in looking after Clare's wayward sister, Emily. As the boundaries blur between Charlotte's two lives, she begins to wonder: is she really Charlotte at all?

Based on the popular young adult novel, Charlotte Sometimes explores how we define ourselves against the world around us - and by the stories that we tell.
